Choosing the material for our countertop is not something that can be done lightly. It is a centerpiece of the kitchen and not easy to change, so we must be sure to choose a durable material that meets our needs. Luckily, there are now many options to choose from. Here are some of them, the best known, and their advantages and disadvantages:
Ceramic Tile: on the one hand are the best choice for decoration. It is an inexpensive material which does not involve cleaning difficulty, or require too complicated to find substances. However, the main drawback is its fragility: to support heavy objects can create them fissures therein, or broken in the worst case.
Granite: considered, for some time, the right material for its hardness and durability. Furthermore, no breaks at high temperatures. However, it is also the most expensive and complicated when cleaning, as dirt tends to accumulate in the most unexpected corners. If we decide on it, we can find it in many different colors, not only in classic gray or black.

Built modified: named for its heterogeneous composition, which include quartz particles, which usually make up more than ninety percent. Located halfway between the two materials mentioned, is more resistant to breakage and requires no specific maintenance.
Marble: undoubtedly it is more decorative material of all. As is the case with tables or marble floors, a counter of this type will be quite expensive. If our priority is to give the kitchen an aesthetic touch, is the best choice.
