If you want to grow your TikTok account, here are some great tips you can use.

Posting More Than Three Times in a Day

This can seem the opposite of other social media platforms such as Instagram, but it works on TikTok because they want creators to create as much content as possible. You are going to be rewarded when you post many times a day and going live, TikTok is going to send viewers your way so they can watch you and interact with the content, go here for more followers.

Their algorithms are good because you can share your content three times and have all of them go viral in the different segments. This means that each of the three videos you have posted will perform independently. This gives you a triple chance of growing your following. 

Sticking to a Niche

Content creators are advised to stick to a niche when it comes to social media, and this is even more important when on TikTok. People who have studied the algorithm have noticed that TikTok tends to give a chance for accounts to go viral. If the video you post does not perform well, then you are not going to get this chance for some time.

The algorithm is going to associate the account with the hashtags used regularly. Hashtags are not the same as those of Instagram, TikTok uses them in categorizing content.

Your top five hashtags on videos need to describe all the videos you have posted before. People have been punished because they deviated from their brand by using a new video concept. If there is another passion you want to explore, then create other accounts where you can post those videos.  

You Have to Dance

TikTok has been associated with dancing. People with dancing abilities have been able to amass multi-million followings. I noticed an increase in my engagement after I added dancing videos to my marketing videos.

I am far from what is considered a good dancer, but it worked for me. Making the effort will be enough. TikTok is not a serious place, and this is why you don’t have to worry about the stuffiness of Instagram, the seriousness of LinkedIn, and the invasiveness of Facebook.  

Commenting First on Your TikTok

One common etiquette of TikTok is being the first one to post on your video. You can see the big creator use this approach. They can post even twice on the video, and they usually provide more information that they were not able to include in the video. This is going to help in boosting your reach while also giving your followers the chance to chat. Make sure you answered people commenting – this could end up creating a conversation that other users might be interested in contributing and sharing with friends. 

Creating Content for Re-Watches

Re-watching is one of the metrics used by TikTok when measuring for “virality”. If people are watching the video more than once before scrolling, then TikTok is going to reward that video. They do this because their goal is to keep users inside the app. When a video is watched more than once, it means people will be on the app for longer.

There are three options you can follow when creating content that can be re-watched: 

  1. Going for shocking, crazy, and unique content that is one of a kind.
  2. Packing a lot of information to a quick video which forces the viewer to re-watch the video 
  3. Creating a video telling a story. People will be ready to read a favorite story more than once.
